It has been over six months since we started to hear about Covid 19 in the U.S. and our lives abruptly changed. We were told to stay home and work from home while balancing our kid’s education online! The stress is real and intense for many families.
As we await the recommendations from health officials, governors, and districts as to what to do in the fall with school, athletics and activities, the unknowns and ‘what ifs’ take a great deal of our mental energy.
I know many parents are stressing about what to do with their children in the fall. I want you to know, that I believe you will make the best decision for your family. It may be different than your neighbors or other family members, but you will make the right one for you, at this moment in time. You need to trust yourself because the unknowns are too many and there is no “right” answer.
Our Facebook group, Parent Support – Shine Each Day, is a great place where parents can share what is going on and gain support from one another as we navigate COVID 19.
Additionally, you are invited to join me and other parents on August 20th from 1:00 – 2:00 CST to learn some ideas to help during this challenging time. There will be time for sharing so please bring your ideas of what you have found helpful over the last six months.
